Julien De Smedt and Bjarke Ingels were joint recipients of the Copenhagen Sports Award presented by the Minister of Culture, Uffe Elbæk, on the 24th of August, 2012. JDS was singled out for their performative architecture projects both in Denmark and abroad, specifically the Kalvebod Waves Harbour Bath in Copenhagen, the Faaborg Harbour Bath in Fyn and the Holmenkollen Ski Jump in Olso.
