The goal of the Silo 5 is to re-orientate the city towards its industrial harbour. The site is full of potential but needs to be reconnected to Montreal. By extending the streets beyond the park, all the way to the peninsula, we create a water park, cultivated by leisure and activities. Bridges would cross, touch the ground, fly above the water and create an infrastructure that melts with the public spaces and the park.
In order to allow the city to re-develop in a sustainable way, we need a socio-financial strategy: We propose to build 900 rental appartments for the citizens of the city in order for the district to avoid becoming an area strictly for the wealthy.
