The Grand Egyptian Museum exhibition program ought to combine a chronological display with a thematic display. In order to achieve that requirement, we decided to organize the simple timeline as a long track where each theme would reappear in each period in time. We then bended this track onto itself to form a spiral, each theme would overlap vertically and therefore create thematic shortcuts.
