JDS collaborated with photographer Nikolaj Møller on this show for fashion designers Vilsbøl de Arce. The installation and scenography was designed as a visual parallel to their A/W 2010 collection focusing on the theme of anatomy. The collection offers a reinterpretation of the human body, abstracting anatomical elements and assigning them new formal and functional definitions. The themes in the collection were translated into spatial strategies for the installation: a spiral of striated wooden bands wraps itself around the runway, expanding and contracting. Acting as both a contracting muscle and a static exoskeleton. The music was part of the design effort, composed and performed by Sophia Maj
