The new National Wetlands Museum will be an open and educational environment, which invites the visitors in an experience that blends the exhibition program with its magnificent nature.
The loop organisation seamlessly turns the inside exhibition to an outside contemplation.
Based on the main idea that “everything is connected to everything”, the floating museum, the competence center for wetlands, the teaching and research areas as well as all outdoor areas and activities, shall not be perceived as individual units. In other words, the building and surroundings should not stand in opposition to each other. On the contrary they shall be perceived as a collective experience center, where the building is part of a larger narrative about the Wetlands’ unique biology, and the river’s natural and cultural significance.
